I hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College Dublin, where I was awarded the Allen Burke Memorial Prize for Research Excellence. I completed an MSc in Applied Psychology at Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelors in Psychology and Anthropology (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Mount Holyoke College in the U.S.
As someone who has felt connected to others my whole life, I always knew I wanted to be here, doing what I get to do in my work with you. I knew I wanted to help individuals and couples make sense of the world and of their lives – every day, I feel so lucky to be able to support my therapy clients.
I pride myself on providing quality, evidence-based care based on my years of clinical training as a Counselling Psychologist, my lived experiences (especially as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, mother, and immigrant), and a genuine, human-to-human connection with you.

Yvonne Scanlan
CLINICAL SPECIALIST OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
I’m Yvonne, a mother, mental health occupational therapist, meditation teacher and someone who was late diagnosed with ADHD.
I am lucky enough to have had a richly varied career over the past 20 years which has provided me with much experience, skill building and training opportunities in the area of mental health.
For me, OT is about exploring day to day life, seeing what is going well, what’s not going so well and then problem solving together to come up with ideas, strategies and supports to gently move in the direction the person wishes to go. Every individual is an expert in their own experience and part of my role is to create a space where a person can access their own wisdom. I am passionate about empowering people to find their voice, strengths and joy as well as navigating some of the trickier aspects of life.
Over the years I have come to understand just how impactful it can be to understand the interplay between our sensory experiences and our mental health. And so another key aspect of my work is exploring sensory differences and where these differences can provide support and challenges in everyday life.
